Mrs Samira Bawumia, wife of the New Patriotic Party presidential candidate's running mate, has appealed to the supporters of the party to ensure that ballot papers given them at the polling stations are stamped before they cast their votes.

She said they would be wasting their votes if the ballot papers given them were not stamped, as these ballot papers would be declared invalid during counting.

Mrs Bawumia was addressing supporters of the NPP in Wa on Wednesday.

She also visited the Wa Central Market where she appealed to supporters to turn out in their numbers to vote and go back home to avoid any trouble.

Mrs Bawumia said the NPP is a party for women, children and the poor and this could be seen in the intervention, policy and programmes that government had been implementing.

She mentioned the capitation grant, health insurance, school feeding programme and the free medical care for pregnant women as well as credit facilities that favours women.

Mrs Bawumia said Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is the right person to rule the country to bring prosperity and progress to the people considering his track record in the struggle for real justice for the people. Madam Rita Asobayiri, National Women Organiser of the NPP told the women to be vigilant on Election Day to ensure victory for the party
