By Daniel Nonor - Ghanaian Chronicle

Stanbic Bank, a member of the Standard Bank Group, has opened its doors to customers at Makola, in the Central Business District of Accra, as part of measures to bring banking services and products closer to businessmen and women in that vicinity.

Consistent with its growth strategy, management of the bank say they would increase their branch network to 24, by opening branches in Kasoa, Sunyani, Tamale, Bolgatanga and Wa, before the year ends .

The Makola branch brings to 16 the total number of branches opened by the bank in the country. Mr. Alhassan Andani, Managing Director of Stanbic Ghana, said the bank's presence in Makola was very strategic in the operations of the bank, as it affords the wide range of businesses to have a share of the tailor-made products and services offered by the bank.

He said the bank continued to position itself as the leading bank on the continent, with the vision of making banking accessible and comfortable to all.

The opening of the Makola branch falls in line with the bank's plans of getting closer to its valued customers.
