Special Assembly Day in Twi in Treviso – Italy – Assembly Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses

Sunday November 23rd, 2008 for the first time in Italy an assembly of Jehovah's Witnesses will be held in Twi.

Delegates will mainly arrive from Northern Italy, but many other Ghanaians will come from various parts of Italy. “ Some years ago different groups of Jehovah's Witnesses, in the regions where there is a higher concentration of people from Ghana- the organizers relate – such as in Veneto, Friuli and Emilia have starter to learn Twi to share with this numerous community the riches of Bible teachings, that are available for people of every race, culture and social background. For the first time, Jehovah's Witnesses from Ghana will meet together with their brothers. ''

In a period where the presence and the entry in the social life of foregin people in Italy remains a very delicate topic, the first assembly of Jehovah's Witnesses from Ghana offers an example of how the application of Bible principles allows people to overcome the divisive barrier of language and race.

The theme of the assembly will be " Keep watching the ministry which you accepted …… that you fulfill it” based on the Scripture of Colossians 4:17.

Young and old have been waiting a long time to enjoy this important event. They are convinced that their presence at the assembly will help them to appreciate the necessity and the urgency of participating in the evangelizing work. A part of the program will be dedicated especially to young ones, with specific talks to encourage them to particapte with joy in the ministry they are accomplishing.

One of the most important moments will be the baptism ceremony of new Jehovah's Witnesses by water immersion ate 1.40 a.m..

The invitation to participate is opened to everybody. Entrance is free and there are no collections.
