STANBIC GHANA on Thursday commissioned a branch at Makola in the Central Business District of Accra to bring its services closer to the large number of womenfolk who ply their trade there.

This brings to 16 the total number of branches opened by the company in Ghana since it was incorporated in December 1999 to provide a comprehensive range of banking services to both corporate and retail clients.

According to Alhassan Andani, Managing Director of Stanbic Ghana in a pre-commissioning address, apart from its treasury products, trade finance, retail, wholesale and investment banking, Stanbic is preparing a superb range of products for its clientele to secure an enviable place among the multinational banks in Ghana.

Stanbic is also arranging to open branches at Kasoa, Sunyani, Tamale, Bolgatanga and Wa in the next couple of weeks and plans to bring its total branch network to 24 by the end of this year.

Stanbic Ghana is part of the Standard Bank Group, one of Africa's largest banking groups, with operations across the continent of Africa and other parts of the world.
