Kwabena Boafo Dreams Big• Supports Psychiatric Hospital

Intelligent defender and skipper of Accra Hearts of Oak, Kwabena Boafo is hoping to lead his club to win the upcoming premier league which will see the Phobians return to the African Champions League competition.  

Boafo who is also relishing a big move to Europe in future, is taking inspiration from the incredible rapport among the playing body and the team as a whole to wrestle the league crown from Kumasi Asante Kotoko.

“I will inspire the team on the field of play to ensure total success for the club,” he told DAILY GUIDE SPORTS.

The team has put its past mistakes behind and is re-strategizing to roar again, he added

 The former Sekondi Hasaacas player who showered lots of praises on the technical team led by Serbian Kosta Papic for transforming the team, called for discipline always among the playing body since the league will be a tough one.

Nevertheless Hearts have the requisite materials to perform well, he explained.

The stalwart defender made these remarks yesterday after donating some assorted items including bags of rice, cartons of milk, bottles of soft drink among other items and an undisclosed amount of money to the inmates of the Accra Psychiatric Hospital.  

Kwabena Boafo thanked God for developing his football career and prayed it would be prolonged.

“If God blesses you, you are also supposed to reciprocate the same gesture by supporting the less privileged in society,” he said.

His mother, Gladys Ohene Ampofo also shared similar sentiments, adding that throughout her son's career, God has been so kind to him; that is the reason why he donated the items to the less privileged. By Charles Nixon Yeboah
