A book – 'Guide to Sports Journalism,' will be launched at the Alisa Hotel (North Ridge) in Accra on Monday, November 10, 2008.
The 510-page book, authored by John Vigah, two-time GJA Sports Journalist of the Year Award winner, is a bold and epoch-making attempt to enhance the quality of Sports Journalism in the country and beyond.
Exclusively carved out for practising and aspiring sports journalists as well as for people with a passion for sports, the book is being launched under the auspices of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG), Krypton Ghana Limited, in partnership with the author.
Readers will find topics like 'Sports Journalists and the Law of Libel', 'Sports Reporting', 'Sports Language,' 'Art of Interviewing, 'Covering International Assignments', 'Risks in Sports Journalism,' 'Sports Photography' among others; very thrilling and fascinating.
The event is expected to be attended by high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports, the National Sports Council (NSC), Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), the various sports associations, the Diplomatic Corps, the SWAG, among others.
The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) will also be represented.
