ASADTEK Industries Limited, one of the celebrated reference points for quality bench-marking in aluminium household utensils and roofing sheets in the West African sub-region, has been honoured by the Africa Growth Institute, an SMME support group based in Cape Town, South Africa.
The company received a bronze award in the industrial category.
The panel of judges which awarded the company included Mr Wiseman Nako (an information officer of SEDA), Mr Deon Damons (Manager, Red Programmes, Dept of Economics), Mrs Riana Grobbler (Senior Marketing Consultant), Ms Josette Matthee (a CEO) and Ms Nomakya Mngqibisa (an SMME Development Manager).
Speaking to the Spectator after receiving the award, Mr James Asare, CEO of Asadtek, said he felt proud of his company's achievements.
He said his company's mission is to produce high quality aluminium products for the local and export markets through the adoption of best industry practices, excellent production methods and staff motivation.
According to him, Asadtek roofing features span easy installation, style and elegance, weather resistance, colour display and standard sizes. Others include leak-proof, maintenance-free, double gutter and double back coating of the company's products.
He named some of the company's best-selling utensils as Ash Wash Basins, Asadtek Round-7, Asa Classic, Makola-3, Makola-4 and Odo Black Family Special.
Asadtek Industries is located off the Spintex Road, D-T.-D Baatsonaa, Accra.
