The food items included bags of rice and sugar and packs of biscuits, powdered milk and quantity of oranges.

Mr. Arthur said the association had earlier made a similar donation to the Sekondi School for the Deaf at Inchaban as part of this year's celebration of Rural Banking Week and World Thrift Day.

He said the week is to inculcate the saving habit to ensure that at least 90 per cent of money in the system is saved in banks.

Miss. Amewowor thanked the association for coming to the aid of the school and appealed to individuals and organization to assist the school with teaching aids including television sets and DVD players.
