Mr Clement Ackon, a veteran journalist and a lecturer at the School of Communication Studies, Legon, has died in Accra at the age of 73.
Mr Ackon who died on October 23, was also a lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Journalism and among the first batch of journalists to be employed at the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in 1957.
He worked with the Catholic Standard and the Ghanaian Times, where he rose to become the acting Editor.
Mr Ackon would be buried at the Awudome Cemetery on November 22, after a burial service at the Holy Family Catholic Church at Mataheko at 0900 hours. There would be no wake keeping.
He was survived by four children including Mrs Audrey Dekalu of the GNA and 13 Grand children.
