Deacon Kwesi Annobil, Head of Outreach and Counselling of the International Central Gospel Church, Adenta branch, presenting 13 satellite dishes to Mr Joseph Kwaw-Yankson, Deputy Director of Prisons in charge of Operations.

Making the presentation at the Prisons headquarters, in Accra, Mr Annobil said the dishes were meant for the Frafraha Borstal Home, near Adenta, to enable the inmates to watch both local and international Christian programmes that would help them to reform.

He said the church had been making annual donations to the home, but this year, it decided to provide the satellite dishes at the cost of GH¢2,000.

Mr Annobil assured the service of the church's continuous support to help in reforming the inmates.

Receiving the items, Mr Kwasi Yankson thanked the church for the gesture and assured that the items will be put to good use.

He said the Prisons Service, as an institution “tasked with the responsibility to the safe, keep and reform the inmates, has put a number of programmes in place to help them acquire skills and education”.

He said pilot projects such as the Junior and Senior High School programmes had been introduced at the Nsawam Medium Prisons, and some others.
