THE FANS WANT TO BE IN SOUTH AFRICA Fans in Ghana have thrown their weight behind the Black Stars to qualify to the 2010 Nations Cup and World Cup after Wednesday's draw.
They believe the Stars have a manageable Group comprising Mali, Benin and Sudan to make a second successive appearance at the World Cup in South Africa.
Radio phone-ins on sports programmes minutes after the draw was conducted, were optimistic of Ghana's qualification.
"My only fear is Mali because they have some good players but can gel as a team. That's why Ghana can qualify," a caller said on Asempa FM sports morning show.
Sammy from New Town in Accra also believes the Black Stars can survive from the Group:"We have a good group and we shouldn't complain too much.We have to qualify"
"My interest in the team soared during the last world cup and I think our opponents can stop us.Go Black Stars Go," Mercy commented on a Kumasi-based radio station
The Black Stars begin their campaign on 29 March with a home game against the Squirrels of Benin.
