The Convention Peoples Party (CPP) running mate for the December 7 election, Dr. Abu Sakara says his recent tour of some parts of the country indicates that the people are yearning for the CPP to form the next government.
“I have toured several constituencies particularly the three northern regions and all indications are that the people are clamouring for real change and want the CPP to make that happen”.
Addressing a news conference in Accra yesterday to throw more light on the CPPs' campaign, Dr. Sakara said the party has been able to put together a well researched campaign message which was going down well with the electorates.
He said “our message of change 'you can feel in your pocket' is well received by the people and they are looking up to the CPP to form the next government to continue with the impressive development records left behind by the late Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
“The people believe that the CPP can do the job. The CPP is also ready to take up the challenge to lead Ghana into a new paradigm of development”.
Dr. Sakara said the CPP manifesto has laid down policies for every sector of the economy and when they get the peoples mandate, they will work with a sense of urgency and commitment to improve their standards of living.
Araba Bentsi-Enchill, CPP National Vice Chairperson who has been accompanying Dr. Sakara on his tours said the CPP will give meaning to women and children empowerment and create the opportunity for them to actively participate in governance.
