Gold Fields Ghana Limited has donated a 21-inch television set worth 250 Ghana cedis to Tarkwa- Nsuaem Municipal Assembly as its contribution towards the Municipality's Farmers' Day celebration.

Mr Stephen Yirenkyi, Community Affairs Manager, GFGL, said the donation was a token to show how GFGL cherishes the contribution of farmers.

He said the television programmes relating to agriculture would help farmers to know more and improve on their farming practices.

Mr George Mireku Duker, Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Chief Executive who received the item, thanked GFGL for the donation.

He said though there are a lot of mining activities going on in the area, active farming also goes on in the area where much cocoa is produced and requested that rehabilitation of cocoa roads should be extended to the area.
