The Tema Station Branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) was inaugurated on Friday with a call on members and supporters of the party to remain loyal and faithful to the party to ensure victory in the upcoming general election.
Mrs Sherry Ayittey, a leading member of the party who inaugurated the branch, said the time had come for members of the NDC to intensify their membership drive in order to increase its following.
The eight-member executive of the Tema Station Branch of the NDC has Mr Jones Adjei as Chairman, with Mr Felix Acquah as the Vice Chairman.
Mr Noble Isaac, Mrs Charity Sowu, Mr George Magiri, Mrs Rosina Kwawukume and Mr Atta Kwame, are Secretary, Financial Secretary, Organiser, Assistant Youth Organiser and Executive Member respectively.
Mrs Ayittey told them to be more committed and dedicated to the party and to ensure transparency and accountability in their dealings with the people.
Nii Armah Ashietey, Parliamentary Candidate for Klottey-Korle Constituency, urged the constituents to vote for him in order to make Klottey-Korle “a model constituency and a citadel of good governance.”
Nii Asietey pledged to promote revenue mobilization and undertake appropriate development programmes to improve the lives of the people.
The executive members pledged to serve the people with humility and not to lord it over them.
