Addressing the House after the election, Otumfuo Osei Tutu, who is also President of the House, urged members to be supportive of the activities of those elected so that they could make meaningful inputs in their activities at the NHC.

He said traditional rulers played significant roles in the national development process, noting that it was high time the NHC partnered government effectively in realizing its development goals by explaining policies to their subjects.

Nana Akuoko Sarpong, on behalf of the elected members, thanked the members of the House for the confidence reposed in them and gave the assurance that they would live up to expectation in their duties to promote the development of the chieftaincy institution.
