Bridge Foundation, Open Cast to Kokrobite JHS

By Naa Bettey Nelson - Ghanaian Chronicle

The Bridge Foundation, an Accra-based non-governmental organisation (NGO), in partnership with Open Cast, a British NGO, has put up a three classroom Junior High School building at Kokrobite, a suburb of Accra.

The project, estimated at thousands of dollars, is set to commence soon, and will be located on the compound of the Kokrobite D/A Basic School.

At the sod-cutting ceremony last week, Jackson Otabil, Project Secretary, Nii Adesa II, Gyaasetse of Kokrobite, and Nii Asaase Ayitey, Chief Fisherman of Kokrobite, in separate words, thanked the donors for the gesture.

“We are highly honored and appreciative of this wonderful support, it will for sure help drive the numerous street children to the school, when completed,” Nii Adeasa noted.

“Already, the foundation of the project has been dug.”

Angie Dowling of Open Cast said through e-mail that she was looking forward to meeting with Mr. Ray Quarcoo, President of the Bridge Foundation, to conclude financial arrangements for the project.
