District Chief Executive for Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa, Mr. Emmanuel Adjei Domson, has appealed to Ghanaians not to allow politics to make them enemies.

“We should note that we are one people of one nation, Ghana, with a common destiny,” he said.

Mr. Domson made the appeal when he addressed the second Ordinary Meeting of the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District Assembly at Breman Asikuma.

He said Ghanaians needed to exercise the maximum restraint no matter the extent of provocation and avoid acts that would mar the peace.

Mr. Domson said it was the responsibility of all, including political party leaders and chiefs to ensure that upcoming elections were free and fair.

He said it was the civic responsibility of every citizen to go to the poll and cast his or her vote peacefully.

Mr Domson urged the youth not to allow politicians to influence them with money to foment trouble during and after the election.
