Kwahu South District Election Security Task Force inaugurated

A seven-member Kwahu South District Election Security Task Force to monitor and ensure peace in Election 2008 has been inaugurated at Mpraeso.

Mr Samuel Okunor, Mpraeso District Police Commander, is the Chairman of the task force.

Nana Onwona Asante, Kwahu South District Chief Executive, advised the members to handle all electoral complaints fairly to avoid violence during the election.

Mr George Adjei, Eastern Regional Security Coordinator, advised them to be conversant with the code of conduct and public order act to solve electoral complaints.

Mr Okunor said the task force would serve as a monitoring mechanism and called on members to co-ordinate their activities to ensure success of their operations.
