Businessman adds voice to calls for peaceful vote

A businessman at Cow Lane in Accra on Friday added his vice to calls for a free and fair election, saying all stakeholders must play their part to ensure that the right things are done.

In a statement issued in Accra, William Jolly Lemawu, appealed to Returning Officers to ensure that the election was free and fair.

He suggested that the Electoral Commissioner should emphasise this point at a meeting with all Returning Officers as their role was crucial to ensure that there was no cheating or confusion.

Mr Lemawu said religious leaders and flag bearers should advice voters not to do anything that would cause confusion while workers of the Electoral Commission must be told not to manipulate the results.
