Mrs. Rebecca Akuffo Addo, wife of New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo, has presented items worth several hundreds of Ghana Cedis, to the Makola Early Childhood Development Centre, and the Makola Market in Accra.

The items included a sophisticated air conditioner, 15 cartons of assorted soft drinks, exercise books, two cartons of biscuits, and a box of chocolates.

Presenting the items on behalf of Mrs. Akuffo Addo, Mrs. Adelaide Owusu-Adjapong, wife of Mr. Felix Owusu-Adjapong, the Minister of Energy, pointed out that the donation formed part of Mrs. Akuffo Addo's quest to minister to the needy in society.

“This is just a token to the young folks, and to ensure that the elderly are as well comfortable in the market, hence the gesture and we hope to replicate it in other communities,” Mrs. Owusu-Adjapong added.

She congratulated the Headmistress of the school, Esther Kotey, and the teaching staff, for their commitment to the day-to-day running of the school.

Mrs. Adjapong, who made the presentation in the company of Mrs. Frimpong Boateng, advised the toddlers to take their studies serious, and heed to what their instructors teach them.

Madam Kotey thanked Mrs. Adjapong for the gesture, and appealed to other individuals and corporate bodies, to follow suit.
