The Venerable Dominic Ohene Apraku, Minister in charge of Atebubu Anglican Church has urged Ghanaians to live in unity, peace, love and understanding to help promote national development.

Venerable Apraku was preaching at the Saints Peter and Paul Anglican Church at Donkro-Nkwanta in the Nkoranza South District during a farewell service in honour of the Reverend Father Robert Banabas Num who is on transfer to Berekum.

He said as one people with a common destiny there was the need for Ghanaians to be imbued with fellow feeling for the other “so we can together initiate programmes that would accelerate the nation's development”.

The Anglican priest advised the youth of the various political parties to shun negative practices that could trigger confusion in the communities with regard to the up-coming general elections to ensure peace and stability.

Venerable Apraku expressed regret about the spate of armed robbery in the country and cautioned the unemployed youth to desist from engaging in such social vices since God's punishment awaited sinners.

He emphasized the need for members of the church to maintain their faith in God and avoid going to fetish priests and priestesses for assistance “because there is no other superior being than the Almighty God who created the world”.

Mr Osei Nimako, presiding elder of the church, expressed gratitude to Rev. Father Num for his hard work and efforts in winning more souls for the church during his four year service in the area.
“Besides his work as God's servant, he also helped in the moral development of students of the Anglican Primary School where he was the head teacher,” he said.

Rev, Fr. Num thanked members of the church for their cooperation and support and asked them to sustain such spirit and work in harmony with his successor.

He paid special tribute to teachers of the school and the traditional authorities in the area for their encouragement and assistance.

In attendance were Pastor Ebo Baiden of Donkro-Nkwanta Pentecost Church, Rev. Fr. Ohene Djan and Elder Evans Osei Worae of Donkro-Nkwanta Damascus Church
