The 7th Yosakoi Dance Festival will be held in Accra on October 11 to preach the need for a peaceful election in December.

Yosakoi, which literally means, “Happiness will come”, originated from Kochi in Japan after the Second World War when the Japanese were trying to find their way and place on how to bring happiness to themselves and to comfort one another.

Dubbed: "Ghana as One Dance and Musical Concert", the festival is being organised by Ghana Yosakoi Planners and the National Dance Company of Ghana, a statement in Accra said.

The festival will see performances such as acrobatic displays and a magical show by the Voncujovi Brothers, a dance by 15 professional and amateur groups all over the country, among others.

The statement said the first 100 people to report at the Efua Sutherland Children's Park, the venue for the festival, would receive free Geisha Tinapa products from the Kawasho Company, sponsors of the festival.
