Ghanaian For World Taekwondo Fed. Course

TECHNICAL Director of the Ghana Taekwondo Association (GTA), Mr Frederick Lartey Out, has been invited by the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) for an Advanced Coaching course at the Kyung Hee University in South Korea.

Content of the three-week course include taekwondo techniques, sports massage, acupuuture, developing taekwondo fitness – circuit training, periodisation, nutrition for taekwondo players and injury prevention.

Mr Otu, an employee of the Customs, Excise and Preventive Service, has since left for the course and he is expected back on October 11.

Meanwhile, secretary general of the GTA, Mr C.K. Attah, has asked all holders of Black Belt Dan certificates, national and Kukkiwon to submit them to the association latest by the middle of the month as directed by the WTF.

This is to enable the local body implement an important exercise by the end of the month, after which the certificates would be returned to the owners.

In another development, the GTA has requested all clubs that have not registered with it to do so at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Accra, with immediate effect.
