KOTOKO CAN'T AFFORD TO LOSE Asante Kotoko can remain in the frame for a top place finish in the Confederation Cup with a win over Tunisia's Etoile du Sahel on Saturday at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Kotoko intensifed their preparations in an attempt to overturn a 2-0 defeat suffered in the Group's opener in Sousse on 17 August.

The Porcupine Warriors are at the foot of the four-team table on six-points apiece with leaders Sudan's El-Merreikh but inferior goal difference.

A win will lift Kotoko to the top spot with the result between El-Merreikh and JS Kabylie go their way.

Etoile, winners of last year's CAF Champions League, will draw some inspiration from Ghanaian striker Sadat Bukari and his Nigerian partner,Emeka OKpara.

Head coach of Kotoko Bashiru Hayford remains upbeat of a resounding victory over the North Africans.

"It's going to be a tough game but trust us to deliver.I've worked on the boys and they cannot fail us," he told Ghanasoccernet.com

"I have played three North African side and I think we have learnt how to beat them. This game is crucial to our campaign and the players are aware.

"Management has been corporative and we have what it takes to win.Every result we have had in the past can be meaningless if we lose tomorrow."
