It was a massive traffic early in the morning of Tuesday September 30 in some streets in Accra as Muslims go to pray at the Independence Square to the Almighty Allah in commemoration of this year's
Eid-Fitr.
All roads leading to the Independence Square where the national prayer session is normally held were choked with vehicular traffic.
The traffic started from the Ridge Roundabout towards the roads around the National Theatre, the Cedi House building through the Ministries, in front of the Ghana News Agency and some parts around Tema Station all in Accra.
The Accra High Street and the roads from the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium were also not spared this situation, compelling drivers to use some by-passes and unapproved roads to avoid the traffic.
This vehicular traffic resulted in some confusion among some drivers.
Most Muslims, including children, young women and the aged, who were in buses, taxis, private cars, pick-ups as well as haulage trucks therefore got down from their various vehicles and walked hurriedly to join their fellow Muslims at the Independence Square to pray for blessings from Allah.
However some policemen were at the traffic scene to bring the situation under control even though they did not find it easy.
Meanwhile, Muslims converging at the Independence Square were dressed in their beautiful Muslim attire happily singing praises to Allah.
