SECURITY GUARDS of the Freko FD Company Limited, managers of the Kejetia Bus Terminal, have tightened their vigilance over the place.

Their vigilance, has over the past few weeks, prevented the lynching of suspected criminals at the terminal.

The guards saved 30 year old Kwaku Duku, a farmer from Bibiani, and loading boy at the Bibiani Station in the terminal.

But for the intervention of the Freko Security guards, an unidentified boy would have been lynched, following a false alarm that he was a criminal.

A woman, who was said to be unhappy about the relationship between her daughter and the boy, raised an alarm on seeing him at the terminal, that he was a thief.

The guards took the boy to the Kejetia Police Post, and invited the girl in question, to confirm the boy's statement.

Meanwhile, the Freko security guards, again, rescued a white man from gangsters in the Kejetia.

The gangsters suspected that the bag he was carrying contained money, and followed him from the terminal to Adum, the commercial centre of Kumasi, in an attempt to swindle him.

A boy who feared an attack on the white man, alerted him, but before he could say jack, the gangsters had pounced on him and called him a thief to divert attention.

Fortunately for the alarmist, the Security guards knew him and quickly went to his rescue, by taking him to the police.

Mr. Asante Boahen, General Manager of the company has urged passengers and the general public, to be wary of tricksters, and report suspicious characters to the police, or any Freko security guard in sight, for their safety.
