Mr. Kwabena Appiah-Pinkrah, Member of Parliament (MP) for Akrofuom in the Adansi South District of Ashanti, has cautioned the New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters against using abusive language in their campaigns for the 2008 Election.

He said their messages should focus on the good policies and programme of the NPP Government which had led to the socio-economic development of the country.
Mr. Appiah-Pinkrah was addressing the party’s constituency executives meeting to strategize on the elections, at Akrofuom on Sunday.

He urged NPP supporters to embark on issues-centered campaigns to attract people in the opposition parties to the NPP.
Mr. Appiah-Pinkrah also asked party supporters to spread the good news on the massive infrastructure development of the country under the NPP Government.
The MP called for peaceful elections and appealed to NPP followers to avoid violence before, during and after elections.

Mr. Appiah-Pinkrah stressed that “We are peace-loving people and we want to ensure that there is peace in the country before, during and after the elections”.
He said a Nana Akufo-Addo government would ensure that funds that would be generated from the nation’s oil-find would be put into judicious use for the benefit of all Ghanaians.
Mr. Appiah-Pinkrah reiterated that Nana Akufo-Addo would extend free education to cover the Senior High School level if elected as President of Ghana.
The MP said he would ensure that the constituency, especially Adamso, Ampunyase, Wamase, Fenaso Nkwanta and Aboagyekrom communities would be connected to the national grid by the end of this year.

Mr Maurice Jonas Woode, NPP constituency secretary, advised party supporters to unite and work harder to enable the party to retain power in the 2008 Elections.
He said the constituency had benefited from development projects under the NPP Government and appealed to the electorate to vote massively for the party.
Mr Woode said Ghana was being respected abroad because of the practice of good governance under the NPP and called on Ghanaians to help sustain the achievement.
