Ghanaian-born youngster eyes Newcastle challenge

Ghana-born Holland starlet, Frank Wiafe Danquah, says he can make an impact this term in the English Premier League after featuring in Newcastle?s 2-2 draw with PSV on Wednesday.

The 18-year-old striker replaced James Milner in the 90th minute and made his first senior team debut.

Danquah signed a two-year professional contract with Newcastle United last month after finishing top scorer in reserves team last season.

He earned a call-up in to the Newcastle squad for their final encounter of last season against Everton, but failed to secure a place on the bench for the game.

"It may have taken some time, but I finally got what I have always wanted to achieve: earn a place as player in professional football." Danquah siad

Danquah began his playing career at the Ajax Amsterdam academy, he then represented Dutch First Divsion sides FC Omniworld and AFC.
