The July Medal Open Golf Championship of the Celebrity Golf Club tees off at Sakumono, near Tema on Sunday, July 27.
Mr Joe Ohemeng, Captain of the Celebrity Golf Club who announced this at Tema on Thursday said about 100 golfers are expected to participate in the competition which is open to amateur golfers from the Greater Accra Region.
He said the event, which would be played under the rules of the Ghana Golf Association has Handicap 18 and 24 as the requirement for participation.
Mr Ohemeng said some of the golfers expected to participate in the competition include Abdul Aziz Amankwa, Theophilus Asampong and Kwasi Opoku, all of the Celebrity Golf Club.
The Achimota Golf Club team to be led by their captain, Bob Evans, would include Mike Ezan, Charles Tabi, Paul List and Daniel List.
Two prizes would be awarded in the Men's event, while one would be given in the Ladies category.
The competition, which tee-off at 0600 hours, is to be sponsored by the Celebrity Golf Club.
