Nana Yaa Wawa II, Queenmother of Osiem has appealed to the chiefs and people in the town to remain calm for amicable settlement of the conflict the community and members of Saviour Church of Ghana.
Nana Wawa made the appeal when speaking to newsmen in reaction to a clash between youth of Osiem and members of the church over the burial of a member Moses Yaw Danso last Sunday during the celebration of Ohum festival in the Akyem Abuakwa Traditional Area.
She said the citizens and members of the church had lived together for a long time therefore, the incident should not divide them to ensure progress and development of the town.
The church was established at Osiem in 1924 and has grown to become part of the town.
