Let peace prevail in Adaklu-Anyigbe District – Students

Members of Ho Polytechnic Chapter of National Union of Adaklu Students on Saturday appealed to politicians in Adaklu-Anyigbe District to be circumspect in their utterances to promote peace in the area.

Mr Martin Benedict Yao Letsu, President of the Chapter, who made the appeal said the district needed peace and development therefore the politicians should take the initiative and lead the people in accelerating development in the area.

He was speaking at its inauguration at Ho.

Mr Letsu said the Union was committed to bring traditional rulers in the three traditional areas making the district together to eliminate division among them.

He observed that the district had immense economic potentials that required the collaboration of all stakeholders to explore and develop to the mutual benefit of the people.

Madam Juliana Mensah Azumah, Member of Parliament for the area commended the Union for its foresight and interest in the development of the district and pledged the willingness of all politicians in the area to preserve peace in the area beyond Election 2008.

She advised the members to visit schools in the district regularly to encourage the pupils and teachers and serve as positive role models to them.

Mr Mawuli Kwame Dabi, Adaklu-Anyigbe District Chief Executive, advised the students to keep themselves above reproach to become responsible citizens and future leaders.
