A Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), the Noble Forum of West Africa, has awarded three Members of Parliament in the Volta Region, for their distinguished services to the people over the years, at Sogakope in the South Tongu District.

The NGO, which has hard work, honesty and selflessness, as its cardinal principles, also promotes health through the education of the populace, on the need to live healthy lifestyles, has been doing so by the organization of forums.

The Volta MPs who were awarded were Mr. Charles Hodogbe, MP for North Tongu, Ms. Akua Sena Dansua, North-Dayi, and Mr. Joseph Amenorwode, MP for Hohoe South.

They received citations, which revealed the roles the individual MPs played in their respective areas.

The citation of Ms. Dansua read: “You have worked hard as MP for your area, and as a female representative you have inspired both old and young, which really exposed what you were made of.”

The citation of Mr. Amenorwode commended him for his hard work, which contributed to the many ethnic groups in the area living in peace with one another, while Mr. Hodogbe was noted also for championing the course of development of the people, particularly his instrumentality in the revamping of the Aveyime-Battor Rice Project.

The Chairman of the West Africa Noble Forum, Rev. Paul Kofi Fynn, asked the youth to emulate the leadership qualities of the elderly in society, to enable them to take up leadership positions in the future, noting that there was the need to be honest in their dealings at all times.
