Air Namibia Partners Ghana Tours

Ghana Tours, air travel operators, has resumed operations on the Accra-London route after a short break with a new partner carrier, Air Namibia.

This follows a successful trial in December last year with a rather modern Airbus A340, a much bigger aircraft.

The General Manager of Ghana Tours, Mr Francis T. Tettey, said in a press release that the Air Namibia partnership had replaced the company's partnership with Astraeus, which came after an earlier one with Britannia Airways.

Ghana Tours introduced chartered flights in Ghana in 2004 to fill the vacuum created by the collapse of Ghana Airways.

Having taken advantage of the government's deregulation of the airline industry and operated chartered flights in Ghana, Ghana Tours has established a good relationship with the UK Civil Aviation Authority.

Mr Tettey stated that “Ghana Tours is committed to providing uninterrupted, low cost and quality charter flights in and out of the country to promote tourism.”
