Christians urged to show unconditional love

The Reverend Dickson Kofi Deku, Pastor in charge of Adaklu Abuadi Pastoral district of the Evangelical Presbyterian (EP) Church, Ghana has advised Christians to emulate the unconditional love that Jesus Christ has for mankind.
"If we emulate that shinning example and truly love one another, peace will reign supreme and Ghana will be a paradise", he said.
Rev. Deku gave the advice when he delivered the sermon on the theme; 'Christ our friend' at a fund-raising rally organised by Adaklu Ahunda E.P. Church at the weekend to mobilise fund for a new chapel.
He advised Christians to do away with selfishness and avarice and assist one another, especially the destitute in society as "service to man is service to God".
Mr. Evans-Raybon Anyadi, Manager of Adaklu Anyigbe National Health Insurance Scheme who was the Special guest appealed to religious leaders to help address the upsurge of indiscipline, armed robbery, drug abuse and teenage pregnancy among the youth of the country.
He blamed some "later day ministers of the Gospel" for these vices because instead of preaching salvation they placed emphasis on materialism, which the youth were yearning for.
He donated 100 bags of cement to the Church.
