Asamoah Boateng: Rawlings comments nonsense and incoherent
03.07.2008 LISTEN

The Ministry of Information and National Orientation says it has tabled a number of issues against former President Jerry John Rawlings, which it would publish by end of the week.

Sector Minister Stephen Asamoah Boateng disclosed on ASEMPA NEWS that, Flt Lt Rawlings' claims on certain issues particularly those concerning the June 4th uprising, are inconsistent with the principles he claims to stand for.

Mr. Asamoah Boateng made this statement while reacting to Flt Lt Rawlings' comments at a news conference at his residence on Republic day.

Mr. Asamoah Boateng debunked Rawlings' comments, describing them as nonsense and incoherent.

In related development, the Campaign Manager of the NPP flag-bearer, Jake Obetsebi Lamptey, has described the former President's utterances as 'cheap talks'.

Speaking in an interview with Asempa News after an encounter with the media in Accra, Mr. Obetsebi Lamptey said the day was the day the nation was mourning the heartless killing of three innocent judges and an ex-army officer, and so the ex-President should have left Ghanaians alone to mourn them.
