iBurst Set To Roll Out More Branches
In line with its vision of bringing the internet to its customer base, iBurst Africa has embarked on promotional campaign to make internet services available to the public.
The services of iBurst Africa, are currently available in Accra and Tema adding that more branches are planned to be rolled-out to other major cities soon.
"It is envisaged that by December, Kumasi will be the third metropolis to enjoy the services of an Internet Service Provider which offers the iBlink 2Mb/s modem, the fastest iBurst modem available to date in the world. Previously, maximum speeds available did not exceed 1Mb's," he said.
As part of the campaign the first 100 customers to purchase an iBurst Africa modem will enjoy a 50 per cent discount.
Speaking at the press launch of the campaign Loren Bosch, CEO of iBurst Africa, said, "with this promotion, iBurst Africa seeks to reward its Ghanaian customer base, which has grown from a total of 200 when iBurst Africa was launched in March 2008 to over 1,300 users today, for their loyalty.
"Through this offer, we would like to reinforce our original commitment of ensuring that the internet is more easily accessible to the average Ghanaian. For this reason, the first hundred (100) new sign-ons will be able to purchase any iBurst Africa modem at a 50 per cent discount."
In 2000, Ghana's internet user base was estimated to be 30 000 but with the availability of iBurst Africa's services, among others, this figure has risen steadily to over 400 000 in 2006, representing almost 2 per cent of the population.
