A small aircraft crashed Tuesday in Kenya, killing all four people on board, including two government officials, a government spokesman told CNN, citing police.
Kenyan police told the government that all four people on the plane "perished," Salim Lone said.
Kenyan Roads Minister Kipkalya Kones and Assistant Minister of Home Affairs Lorna Laboso had been on board, Lone said.
The Associated Press reported Kones was a five-term lawmaker whose appointment to the Cabinet was part of a power-sharing deal between President Mwai Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Laboso, a new lawmaker, is among the small number of women elected to Kenya's National Assembly, AP said.
