The Ejisu-Juaben Municipal Directorate of Education in Ashanti has organised a two-day workshop at Juaben on the effective implementation of the new educational reform and the syllabus for over 200 basic school teachers drawn from Juaben and Ofoase circuits.
Mrs Agnes Okyere-Gyamfi, Municipal Director of Education, speaking at the closing session, said it was the wish of the government that education resulted in the formation of a well-balanced individual with the requisite skills, values, aptitudes and attitudes to become more functional and productive.
She urged the teachers to work hard to implement the new reform in such a way that education would improve the quality of life of all Ghanaians.
Mrs Okyere-Gyamfi reminded them to see themselves as the agent of all aspects of change in human life and do their best for the reform to be beneficial to the entire Ghanaian society.
Mr J.W. Agyepong, Circuit Supervisor for Juaben, advised the teachers to use all the skills and knowledge acquired at the workshop to make teaching and learning interesting to their students.
