As part of a collaborative
move to ensure cleanliness, and provide better sanitation, in the environs of the capital city, the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA), in recognition of the incredible works of Zoomlion, has welcomed its support and assistance.

There is clear evidence, when one walks around the capital city, of the capacity of the waste management company. Workers of this waste management company are always at post, carrying out their duties of maintaining a clean environment.

As late as 10 p.m. some workers were spotted clearing piled up rubbish, and clearing choked gathers, to pave way for the free flow of water.

Recent cleanups conducted, showed how the company was doing its possible best, to provide good sanitation and getting the city out of its filthy state.

Comparing the previous to the latter, Zoomlion has been able to make some parts of the city clean to live in, despite the challenges.

At the central business district and others, the bins and rubbish containers of the AMA have been replaced with that of Zoomlion, which are being emptied regularly.

It is to be noted also that the waste management company, embarked on a spraying exercise, to get rid of mosquitoes in the various parts of the city, to reduce the incidence of malaria.

Also the company embarked on a spraying exercise in the Black Volta are, to get rid of black flies, to help save the health of those working on the construction of the Bui Dam. This portrays that this waste management is ready to keep the city clean, and tidy to provide a good and healthy living for the people.

The issue of sanitation, for some time now, has received much attention, and concerns from both the government, and the general public, since human lives are at risk.

Several reports have been made, as to how the rubbish containers and bins get full up, with the rubbish spreading onto the streets and other parts, making life uncomfortable for dwellers and traders to when carrying on with their businesses.

What is more worrying is the liquid substance that comes out from the rubbish, accompanied by the ear-splitting housefly, whose activities has made traders, to constantly flap their hands along the sides of their products, especially fruits.

It leaves the areas with nothing but an overpowering stench, which according to some health personnel would have an effect on health, and sometimes making it difficult to breathe.

The Accra File during its usual routine, uncovered that some parts of Kotobabi, Mallam Atta Market, Agbogblohshie Market and Mamobi Market were still facing severe sanitation problems.

At Accra Newtown, Avenor and other areas, the situation has changed as workers of Zoomlion are at post, working tirelessly to keep those places clean.

What can one say, but to join hands with the waste management company, to make their dream of ensuring better living conditions for the people, a reality.
