News reaching us from Castle sources says, Mr. Kwamena Bartels, the Minister of the Interior has been fired by the President.
Reasons for his dismissal are yet not known. But it is a fact that he has been sacked.
Mr. Kwamena Bartels, who is also the Member of Parliament of Ablekuma North has survived all cabinet reshuffles of the Kufuor administration in the seven years since the NPP came to power.
Like the proverbial cat with nine lives, he had stayed put, and had also served as Minister, Works and Housing and Minister of Information.
