Call for Ato Essuman as NPP running-mate receives more support

More members and supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) continue to express their support for the call to select Mr. Ato Essuman, a Member of Council of State as Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's running-mate for the upcoming presidential election.
The latest support had come from Asuogyaman Constituency in the Eastern Region where Mr. Martin Tieku Ameyaw, Constituency Chairman of the NPP described Mr. Essuman as a good material to partner Nana Akufo-Addo not only for a massive victory but also for effective and efficient administration of the country.
Mr. Ameyaw, popularly known as Lawal, addressing supporters of the party at Atimpoku said he had known Mr. Essuman, through a long time association, as “a man of service”.
Mr. Ameyaw said the Council of State Member provided services to the state and humankind without counting the cost or looked at the type of personality he was rendering the service to and did not expect any reward for service rendered.
“I know him as a dedicated and loyal member of the party who contributed a lot to the building of the party not only in his home constituency but anywhere he was called upon,” he said.
He said Mr. Essuman, 54, who is also the Chief Director of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports, was a hardworking man who did not know tiredness and a man of justice who insisted on the right thing being done at all times.
According to the Asuogyaman Constituency NPP Chairman, Mr. Essuman had also worked with some reputable firms such as Coopers and Lybrand, now Price Waterhouse Coopers, Technoserve Incorporated and Nestle Ghana Limited and had gained wide exposure locally and internationally to enable him to render effective support to Nana Akufo-Addo as a Vice President.
