Two before court for alleged murder at funeral

Agbozume, (V/R) May 14, GNA-Adewaley Sosu, 32, auto-machanic and Kofi Bruce, 35, kente weaver, both residents of a village near Agbozume were put before the Agbozume magistrate's court for allegedly murdering a fellow mourner during a brawl.
They are facing a provisional charge of murder.
Lumorvi Gbeti, 64, farmer and alleged accomplice was however, charged
for abetment.
Their pleas were not taken and were remanded in prison custody until May 31, this year.
Mr Sylvanus Kudolo, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) at Agbozume told the court, presided over by Group-Captain Martin Obeng-Ntim that the deceased Kwablavi Mileba, 43, and the accused persons attended a funeral at Nyomikope near Agbozume on April 29 this year.
He said the accused persons who felt offended by Nyemedinyao, the deceased's brother, for deciding to send his personal drum home during the funeral waylaid and engaged him (Nyemedinyao) in a fight.
ASP Kudolo said Mileba intervened in the scuffle, and was beaten to death by Sosu and Bruce who were urged on by Gbeti.
Mr Kudolo said Nyemedinyao however, escaped to report to the Agbozume police who arrived only to find Mileba dead.
