Daasebre Otuo Siriboe II, Paramount chief of the Juaben Traditional Area, has called on the youth to work hard to harness their skills, creativity and potentials to benefit the society.

He cautioned them not to be greedy and also avoid craving for quick-money and excessive materialism, since such an attitude could render them vulnerable to all sorts of temptations.

Daasebre Siriboe made the call when Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom, flagbearer of the Convention People's Party (CPP), paid a courtesy call on him at his palace at Juaben in the Ejisu-Juaben Municipality of Ashanti Region last Sunday. The CPP flagbearer is on a three-day campaign tour of the region.

Daasebre Siriboe pointed out that the youth formed a crucial component of the nation's workforce and as such should always maintain high moral standards in their endeavours, especially in the wake of the impending general elections.

'The youth should not take advantage of the elections and demand money and other incentive packages from power-conscious politicians with the view of engaging in acts that would in the long-term be counter-productive,' he noted.

The Paramount chief praised Dr Nduom for conducting his campaigns, so far, in a decent manner and urged political activist to be tolerant of divergent views to help sustain the peace the nation was enjoying.

Dr Nduom commended the Paramount chief for his good leadership skills, which he said, had helped to promote the well-being of residents of the Juaben Traditional Area in recent times.

The CPP flagbearer, promised to embark on an agriculture revolution to ensure a bumper harvest of food crops to sustain the growing population.
