Kufuor Meets Some Top CEOs In London

President Kufuor, while in London attending the Business Call to Action meeting had  bilateral meetings and business call on him. Mr. Arun Sarin, the CEO of Vodafone  called to discuss their interest in the bid for  Ghana Telecom.

Lord Malloch Brown, Secretary for Africa Asia and Pacific accompanied by the British High Commissioner to Ghana held bilateral talks with President Kufuor
 
A delegation from  Hutchison Ports Holding led by Gerry Yim, CEO in charge of the Americas, Middle East and Africa called on President Kufuor to update him on their progress on the Boankra Inland Port Project and the rehabilitation of Ghana Railways.
 
The Secretary of State for International Development (DFID), Hon Douglas Alexander called on President Kufuor  to follow up on the bilateral meeting President Kufuor held with Prime Minister Gordon Brown. This was to confirm certain decisions arrived at by the two leaders in Ghana-UK relation and the support the UK Government plans for Ghana in her pursuit archiving the target in the MDGs.
   
 President J. A Kufuor has visited the OBE Television in London. The OBE TV is a Ghanaian owned broadcast unit serving Ghanaian and African communities in the Diaspora. The OBE TV carried extensive broadcast of Ghanaian activities both at home and abroad like the President's visit to the UK, Ghana @ 50, Ghana at Germany 2006 and Ghana CAF 2008.  

He was conducted round the facility by, Mr. Benard Ampaw, CEO of OBE Tv.  President Kufuor expressed his appreciation for the efforts the OBE TV at promoting Ghana to the outside world. He assured the management of OBE TV his personal support in what they are doing to promote Ghana.
