The Effutu Municipal Assembly has decided to resource its members to assist the people in clean-up exercises in their communities.

Mr Robert Andrews Ghanney, Municipal Chief Executive, said this at his first meeting with the assembly at Winneba, where sub-committees were formed.

He said the assembly would also work with the Municipal Health Insurance Scheme and other health care providers to improve health delivery in the area.

Mr Ghanney said the Town and Country Planning Department, Public Works Department and the sub-structured Urban Council would be assisted to ensure the proper planning of the newly created municipality.

He said the new assembly would have to initiate strategies to generate revenue for development.

Mr Alexander Afenyo-Markin, presiding member of the assembly, urged the members to co-operate with the Municipal Chief Executive to ensure the development of the area.

He also appealed to them to unite towards the progress of the area.
