Mona wins Bok Nam Kim Golf

Golf ace, Mona C. Myers Lamptey, who turns 50 in May, played spiritedly to reign supreme in this year's Bok Nam Kim Golf competition at the Tema Country Golf Club last Saturday.

She returned a net score of 70 to finish tops in the ladies category. It was Beatrice Vetch Bempong, 73net who beat Francisca Vandyke on count back to place second. For their efforts they received glittering trophies and AFCO group of company's products.

Tema Country Golf Club's (TCGC) Francisca Torgah returned a net score of 61 to win the men's handicap edition, while Celebrity's Robert Coffie and Windy Bay's Keteku Dickson followed in that order.
Paul Nukunu finished first in the scratch event. E.T. Mensah returned 73 net to also beat Ernest Opoku on count back to finished second.

In the professional event, Stephen Klah, playing four under, grossed 68 to emerge winner while L.A. Ayisah and Osei E.K. followed in that order.

Mr S.C. Chun, the CEO of AFCO Group of Companies, sponsors of the competition thanked participating golfers for the honour done the past (TCGC) President.

President of the club, Mr Felix Owusu-Adjapong, who is also the Minister designate for Energy, suggested a competition to honour past Presidents in future.
