The Central Regional branch of the New Patriotic Party has appealed to Mr. Alan Kyerematen to rescind his decision to quit the party.
In a statement signed by the Regional Secretary of the Party, Mr. Kwamena Duncan, the branch described Mr. Kyerematen's resignation as regrettable and unfortunate.
Joy News' Benjamin Henaku reports that the branch said it was of the view that the former Trade and Industry Minister in so important personality in the NPP tradition.
It said Mr. Kyerematen is a major stakeholder in the NPP adding that the party's project ought to be held dear by him.
Mr. Duncan said the return of the defeated flag bearer aspirant will make perceived personal pains and suffering a non-issue.
The runner-up in the NPP flag bearer contest in December last year sent his resignation letter to chairman of the party on Thursday.
He cited intimidation of his supporters by some members of the party and said he could return to the party depending on the situation.
Now the Central Regional branch of the NPP is calling on him to reconsider his decision and return to the party for the greater good of all.
It also called on all supporters of the party to remain and exercise maximum restraint in the face of the unfortunate incident.
The branch reaffirmed its unflinching support to the flag bearer of the NPP Nana Akufo-Addo in his effort at winning the December polls.

M. Kyeremanten had done enough for the party especially wooing young voters, market women and other floating voters. its very bad that he is treated with contempt. N.P.P will be the looser cos he's got nothing to loose except for a few tribalsitic and greedy people within the party who hate him and just wan't to get rid of him. i bet u the .P.P 'll loose the elections without HIM
