Emmanuel Nti Fordjour, the former Ashanti Regional Chairman of the Democratic Freedom Party has accused the Party of bad faith and neglect after serving the party dutifully since its formation.

He said after expending time, energy and resources on the DFP, the party has ignored him and has even replaced him as the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the party.

Nti Fordjour, who was a former Ashanti Regional Chairman for the National Democratic Congress said the DFP owes him money he used to rent an office for the party and fuel he bought for the running of the party's vehicle.

He complained that he was not even informed of the regional congress of the DFP which was held prior to the national congress of the party at which he was replaced by Matthias Gollo, a Kumasi-based lawyer.

Nti Fordjour said he is holding on to the official car of the DFP which is in his custody until all monies owed him are paid.

However, Matthias Gollo, the newly elected chairman in reaction said there is no evidence of any expenses incurred by the former chairman.

"I have not seen any receipt of the debt Nti Fordjour claims to have incurred," he said.

He explained that the former chairman has been indisposed for someone now and the party did not want to bother him with party matters due to his condition.

Mathias Gollo denied that the DFP has neglected the former chairman, saying the life patron of the party, Obed Asamoah even contributed GH¢ 1,000 towards the payment of his medical bills.
