SIC To Present GH¢10,000 Towards SWAG Match

The state Insurance Corporation, the nations number one insurance outfit, is to present a cheque of GH¢10,000 to the sports writers Association of Ghana SWAG today towards the SWAG/Nyemitei cup match.

The match which is to be played at the Baba Yara sports stadium on Sunday April 20, 2008, will be between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Ashgold.

According to a source at the SWAG secretariat, the amount will go a long way to cushion the Association effort towards the organisation of cup tie.

'We are most grateful to SIC for such a support without which not only SWAG but Ghana sports will be the poorer', the source said.

SIC, over the years have sponsored the annual event as part of efforts to raise funds for sportsmen and women and to honour the memory of the late H.P.Nyemitei, a former director of SIC and a former SWAG patron.
