DRIVERS OF both commercial and private vehicles in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis will no longer have the problem of dealing with harmful engine deposits in their cars as Shell Ghana Limited (SGL), a leading oil products marketer in the country has officially launched a new product, Shell V-Power onto the market.

Shell V-Power is new unleaded high-octane petrol that has a unique formulation to help keep a car engine clean from harmful deposits and also helps engines to perform at their peak.

Shyne Gbologa, Retail Marketing Manager of SGL who stated this at the launch of the new product in Takoradi last Wednesday, mentioned that the introduction of V-Power to the market was made possible by the conducive business environment in the country.

He added that the petroleum deregulation exercise in the country had also allowed oil marketing companies to offer different petroleum products to customers at competitive prices.

He said V-Power was formulated with special additive packages unique to Shell which had improved the quality of the product more than any other petroleum product.

He noted that the Ghana Standards Board had been engaged to take and analyze samples of the product on a regular basis to ensure compliance with local regulatory standards and the quality of the product.

The Metropolitan Chief Executive of the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis, Hon. Philip Kwesi Nkrumah who launched the product mentioned that the ceremony was an indication of the vibrancy of the private sector in the country's development.

He indicated that the economic policies being pursued by government had culminated in a reduction in interest and inflationary rates leading to a remarkable improvement in the disposable incomes in the country.
